Game Night with the Scouts

Bridge is more than just a game of cards, it’s something that can be built across generations, even spanning 50 years! That’s what happened when the Milton Boy Scouts joined the residents at Martindale Gardens Retirement Residence in Milton, ON for a game night.

Kay Kandiah, the lifestyle consultant at Martindale Gardens, said it was interesting to watch the senior residents teaching the young scouts how to play card games they had played in their own youth, like Euchre.

“It’s fulfilling to see the two generations learn [from one another] and teach each other from [their] different perspectives and knowledge [bases],” said Kay. “With the room filled with laughter and conversations, game night with the Boy Scouts was a success!”
